Vinted international shipping, honestly explained — and how to buy from Vinted Hungary from anywhere

Barely. Vinted runs 27 separate national sites (10 September 2026), grouped into small pools that ship among themselves and nowhere else. Its only true intercontinental service covers UK ↔ US and UK ↔ Australia, capped at 2 kg and excluding children's products and toys, cosmetics and perfume, jewellery and watches, electronics. A Hungarian listing can be posted to Hungary, Poland, Romania or Greece — and to nowhere else without a forwarding address.

Only from the UK, only to some states, only up to 2 kg, and not for categories like cosmetics, jewellery, watches or electronics. Vinted also opened its own US site in January 2026, but that site shows US sellers, not European ones. From continental Europe there is no direct route: to buy from a Hungarian, Polish, Romanian or Greek seller you need an address inside their pool and someone to forward the parcel.

Four: Hungary, Poland, Romania, Greece. Hungary is connected to Poland, Romania and Greece, so one vinted.hu account shows sellers from all four, and they post to our Budapest warehouse with Vinted’s own prepaid labels. Checked on 10 September 2026 against each site’s own help pages; Vinted re-pairs countries from time to time, so confirm the delivery options on the listing before you pay.

No, and we would rather say so than take your sign-up. Hungary is not connected to France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium or the UK, so sellers there cannot post to a Hungarian address at all. For those sites you need an address in that pool — and that is not us.

You can open the account with an e-mail address alone. But Vinted verifies accounts with an SMS code — at the latest when it sees “unusual activity”, which is what a first login from abroad with a foreign card looks like — and its help pages allow one phone number per account, entered with the + country code. Vinted does not publish which countries it accepts; our customers report that foreign numbers are where they get stuck. Try your own number first. If it is refused, a rented Hungarian number from SMSPVA ($0.55 per day, $3.85 per week, 30% off from 30 days; up to 90 days, renewable) is the most dependable option we found, with real caveats — see the phone-verification guide.

Not at the moment. We ran that as a pilot in August–September 2026 and closed it within two weeks: the requests outran what one warehouse can do by hand, and Vinted’s buyer protection would have run to our account rather than yours. The way that works at scale is your own account, your own purchase, our address and our box. If you get stuck at any step, e-mail or WhatsApp us and a person will walk you through it.

Shipping is priced once on the combined weight of the box, plus €2.50 for each parcel received and €2.50 for each additional parcel merged into the box. Storage is free for 30 days. As a worked example, 5 parcels of 0.4 kg each to United Kingdom cost €201.20 forwarded one by one, but €68.25 as one 2 kg box — €13.65 per item, all in. Rates of 2026-09-10.

For payment and lost parcels, normally: the order is on your account, so the protection is yours, and a parcel that never reaches us is refunded like any other. The catch is “not as described”: you have 2 calendar days from Vinted’s delivery notification to press “I have an issue”, delivery means arrival at our warehouse, and we do not open parcels on arrival — photo documentation (€2.00) is taken when we pack your forward. So check measurements, condition notes and the seller’s reviews before you pay.

Home delivery to a street address — Packeta home delivery, DPD or DHL Express on vinted.hu — with your Shipify ID written next to your name. We accept home delivery only; so far our Vinted parcels have all come to the door with Express One, one of Packeta’s home-delivery partners. Avoid every locker and pickup-point option (FoxPost, Sameday Easybox, Packeta Z-BOX, GLS CsomagPont): the collection code goes to your phone, and we do not collect from lockers, even with the code.

Our warehouse number, +36 20 419 0170 — it is also on the “My address” page of your panel — so the courier reaches the warehouse, not you. If a confirmation code is sent to that number, e-mail or WhatsApp us and we will pass it on. The number that verifies your Vinted account is a separate field and stays your own.

Usually not. A single light parcel is billed at the 1 kg step of the courier tariff, so shipping alone is several times the price of an €8 top. Buyers who make this work let five or ten finds collect at the warehouse — 30 days of storage is free — and forward them as one box.
