Do you need an address in every EU country?
Usually not. The shop’s own delivery list decides. Shops that deliver across the EU, and chains with a Hungarian site, accept a Hungarian address — so one Budapest address covers them, and everything can travel home in one box. A shop that delivers only inside its own country is the exception: it needs an address in that country, and then we are the wrong answer.
The 30-second test: start the checkout and open the country list. If Hungary is there — or the shop has a .hu site — a Budapest address works.
Which address each kind of shop needs
The shop delivers to every EU country
One EU address — any country. A Budapest address works.
Hungary appears in the country list at checkout. Any EU address is then as good as any other.
The chain runs national sites, including a Hungarian one
Order on the Hungarian site, to a Budapest address.
Many chains sell through one site per country. Where a .hu site exists — notino.hu or underarmour.hu, for example — the same products are sold there, priced in forint.
The shop delivers only inside its own country
An address in that country. Not us.
Typical of small independent shops: a French boutique that ships only within France needs a French address. A Hungarian one will be refused at checkout.
A marketplace like Vinted
An address inside the seller’s delivery pool.
Vinted sellers post only within linked countries. A Budapest address reaches sellers in Hungary, Poland, Romania and Greece — not France or Germany.
Shop-by-shop notes: European shops. Vinted in detail: does Vinted ship to your country?
Why one address usually costs less
International shipping is priced per box. Parcels waiting in one warehouse can be packed together and leave as one shipment; parcels in warehouses in three countries leave as three, unless the provider first moves them to one place. To Australia, five 1 kg parcels from five different shops cost €442.15 forwarded one by one, or about €159.30 combined into one box — our fees included.
So the right number of addresses is the smallest one that your shops accept. If your shops pass the 30-second test above, that number is one.
From Budapest to Australia
| 1 kg | 2 kg | 5 kg |
|---|---|---|
| €88.43 | €98.98 | €139.30 |
One parcel, intake fee included; rates of 2026-11-04. Transit about 6–10 business days.
Australia is not part of the EU customs union, so shipments go through customs clearance. Personal parcels valued below AUD 1,000 are generally released without duty or GST collected at the border; above that, duty, 10% GST and an import processing charge apply. The carrier handles the paperwork and notifies the recipient about any charges. Australian biosecurity rules strictly restrict food and anything of plant or animal origin — check before you order.

Questions
Do I need an address in every EU country to shop European stores? +
Usually not. What decides it is the shop’s own delivery list. Shops that deliver across the EU, and chains that have a Hungarian site, accept a Hungarian address, so one Budapest address covers them. Only shops that deliver solely inside their own country need an address in that country — check the country list at checkout before you choose a forwarder.
Is one address cheaper than several? +
When your parcels are in one warehouse they can leave as one international shipment. Five 1 kg parcels from five shops to Australia cost €442.15 forwarded one by one, or about €159.30 combined into one box, our fees included (rates of 2026-11-04). Parcels sitting in warehouses in different countries cannot be combined unless the provider first moves them to one place.
What if a shop refuses a Hungarian address? +
Then a Budapest address is the wrong tool for that shop, and we would rather say so. Look for the same shop’s Hungarian or EU-wide site first; if there is none and it ships only domestically, use a forwarder with an address in that country.
