How to buy from Zalando and ship worldwide

Zalando is Europe’s largest online fashion platform, carrying clothing, footwear, sportswear and accessories from several thousand brands, including many European labels with no distribution outside the continent.

Where Zalando delivers — and what to do if that is not you

Zalando delivers across a couple of dozen European markets through its country storefronts. Addresses outside that European footprint generally cannot be entered at checkout.

European fashion — Scandinavian labels, German sportswear, Italian footwear — is frequently either unavailable elsewhere or sold at a substantial markup. A Budapest address puts the full European catalogue within reach.

Retailers change their delivery countries without notice, so always confirm at checkout. If your own address is not accepted, a Budapest one will be — Hungary is inside the EU single market, and European shops ship there as a matter of course.

How it works

1

Get your EU address

Register for free and receive your personal Shipify address in Budapest, Hungary — a real street address inside the European Union. No monthly fee.

2

Order from Zalando to that address

Shop as any European customer would and enter your Shipify address at checkout. Your billing address can stay in your own country — the two do not need to match.

3

We receive and hold it

Your parcel appears in your panel the moment it arrives, with a photo on request. Storage is free for the first 30 days, so you can let several orders collect.

4

Forward it home

Pick your destination, combine parcels into one shipment if you like, and we ship door to door with full carrier tracking.

Ordering from Zalando: what actually matters

Practical notes specific to this retailer and what it sells.

Get the sizing right before you order

Returns are the weak point of forwarding: sending an item back across a border costs more than it is worth. Use Zalando’s size charts and reviews carefully, and order one size only.

Consolidate across a sale period

Zalando’s seasonal sales run for weeks. Let purchases collect at the warehouse and forward them together at the end rather than shipping each order as it lands.

Shoes are volumetric, not heavy

Shoe boxes are priced on volume rather than weight. Ask us to remove the outer boxes and it will typically cut a multi-pair shipment by a full band.

What people actually order from Zalando

Ranges you cannot buy through normal retail outside Europe — which is usually what makes the forwarding worth it in the first place.

Scandinavian labels

Brands such as Samsøe, Selected and Vero Moda sell across Europe but rarely have retail distribution beyond it.

Zalando’s own labels

Zign, Anna Field and Even&Odd exist only inside Zalando’s own storefronts.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy from Zalando if they don’t deliver to my country? +

Yes — that is exactly what a forwarding address is for. You get a Budapest delivery address, Zalando treats the order as a normal European delivery, and we forward the parcel on to you. Always confirm at checkout whether the storefront accepts your billing card; the delivery address is the part we solve.

Can I pay Zalando with a card issued outside Europe? +

Usually yes. Most European storefronts accept international Visa and Mastercard, and your billing address does not have to match the delivery address. Some retailers additionally offer PayPal, which sidesteps the question entirely.

How much does the forwarding cost? +

It depends on destination and weight: a published per-kg rate with a small minimum, always shown in the panel before you confirm. Receiving a parcel costs a small intake fee. Consolidating several orders into one shipment is normally the largest saving available.

Can I combine several Zalando orders into one shipment? +

Yes, and you should. Parcels wait at the Budapest warehouse free of charge for 30 days, and you choose which ones travel together — you then pay international shipping once instead of once per order.

What about customs and VAT? +

You pay the store’s normal European price including VAT when you buy. Forwarding to another EU country involves no customs at all. For destinations outside the EU the carrier handles clearance and contacts you if duties apply — note that the US ended its $800 de-minimis exemption in 2025, so duties can apply to low-value parcels there too.

What if something needs to be returned? +

Returns are the genuine weak point of forwarding: once a parcel has left the EU, sending it back is usually more expensive than the item is worth. Choose sizes and variants carefully before ordering — this is the one part a forwarder cannot make cheap.

Other European shops

The same Budapest address works at every one of them — and parcels from different shops can travel home together.
